How to clean canvas sneakers

Wondering how to clean your Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High or any other canvas sneaker? This easy to follow step-by-step canvas sneaker cleaning tutorial will help you to extend the life of your favourite sneakers.

Cleaning canvas requires more water than cleaning other materials. Wipe off as much water as you can when you're done with the cleaning.
Water stains may appear if the sneakers don't dry properly. If that's the case, brush the stains with clear water and wipe as much water as possible with our Microfiber Cloth or a towel. Air dry the shoes. Repeat if necessary.

Remember to always test the product on a small area first.

How to clean canvas sneakers

  • Take off the laces and immerse them in a bowl of hot water with a rational amount of our cleaning solution. Then wash them by hand as if you were soaping your hands.
  • Remove excess dirt by dry brushing the sneakers and clapping the soles together.
  • Spray a generous amount of our cleaning solution on the sneakers. Let it rest for a while (1 to 20 min). Our cleaning solution will start dissolving the stains.
  • Dip the brush into a bowl of clear warm water. Brush the sneaker in straight motion. Do not apply too much pressure to avoid damaging the mesh. Let the bristles of the brush do the job.
  • Wipe clean with the microfiber towel.
  • Repeat steps 3 to 5 if needed. Air dry the sneakers.
